Evaluation of the opposition proceedings
The Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP) hereby requests your cooperation in the evaluation of the opposition proceedings.
Since 2004 there is the possibility to file oppositions at BOIP. When the opposition procedure came into force, it was determined that the procedure, and in particular the language regime, would be evaluated after five years.
The Benelux Council for Intellectual Property has chosen a questionnaire in order to obtain the broadest possible response from users. This questionnaire has been compiled also thanks to input received from the Benelux Association of Trade Marks and Design Law.
The questionnaire does not expressly relate to the legal content of decisions (usually the party that has won a procedure is happy, unlike the party that has lost), but is about the procedural aspects (grounds of opposition, procedural aspects e.g.). In addition to a number of targeted questions, sufficient room has been made available for comments or suggestions.
The questionnaire can be submitted up until February 22, 2010. It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your participation would be greatly appreciated!
