Businesses can now calculate these costs quickly and easily by using the intellectual property protection cost calculator offered by the Netherlands Patent Office and the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP). The cost calculator is a practical online tool that helps businesses decide whether to apply for patents or register trademarks and/or designs in one or multiple countries.
Users can simply visit the calculator and indicate which costs they want to calculate for a particular country. Once the details have been entered, the tool estimates the costs of applying for a patent or registering a trademark or design and exports the result as a convenient PDF file.
The cost calculator allows businesses to calculate the costs of various intellectual property rights for themselves, thus helping them decide which scope of protection to choose.
