boip logo englishThe Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP) is the official body that registers trademarks and designs in the Benelux. In addition, BOIP can record the existence of an idea on a particular date in an i-DEPOT. 

We help entrepreneurs in the Benelux protect their intellectual property in as simple a manner as possible. Our offices in The Hague in the Netherlands have an approximate staff of 90.

BOIP also works closely with national and international organisations operating in the field of intellectual property. Our three working languages are French, English and Dutch.

Our Communications & Customer Services (CCS) department comprises 6 communication and marketing/CX professionals and 7 customer services officers. They are responsible for ensuring the visibility and the strength of our brand. We also strive to continually improve the experience of our customers.

For our CCS department we are looking for an:

Online content officer (m/f/x)

(36 hours per week)

As online content officer you go all out for our great brand. You create, publish and optimise content. You work with our content strategy, customer experience strategy and customer journeys as basis. You understand how we want to help our customers as much as possible with relevant content at each phase of the customer journey.

BOIP webinarYou manage the content calendar and are responsible for the implementation of the various communication channels: website, social media, mailings. In that respect, together with colleagues, you create customer stories, articles, blogs, vlogs, videos and animations. You are the content specialist in the team, and you give advice based on the latest trends and insights. You possess a natural drive for improvement and are constantly looking for new opportunities to do so. Where we feel something “is difficult”, you see a way to do it. You keep an eye on the results of the online channels and advise on how we can improve them. 

Your tasks: 

  • kalenderYou manage the social media channels, website and the content calendar; 
  • You create text content independently, such as copy for social posts and newsletters, and visual content, such as carousels, infographics, videos, animations and banners for our online channels; 
  • You imagine, develop and experiment with new formats for social media that are attractive to our target groups; 
  • You are responsible for the planning and publication of all the social posts and articles, events and other content on the website; 
  • You provide support to the in-house production of webinars and ensure their promotion; 
  • You prepare the newsletters (4x per year) for sending and provide support with automated e-mail distribution; 
  • You continually test the results of the KPIs against the content strategy and proactively suggest possibilities for improvement. 

Do you have the following attributes? 

  • Higher professional (HBO) study and 5 years of experience as an executive online communications professional; 
  • Extensive experience and up-to-date knowledge of the field of digital graphic design; 
  • Working knowledge of relevant graphic design software (such as Canva, Photoshop or Illustrator); 
  • Experience with CMS systems (experience with Drupal is an advantage); 
  • Experience with mailing and webinar systems (experience with Spotler / Webinar Geek is an advantage); 
  • Experience with social media tools (experience with Meltwater is an advantage); 
  • You are quick to extract the core from complex information and able to translate this into copy that is attractive and to the point for web and social media; 
  • You have good knowledge of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is an advantage; 
  • You have an inherent interest in intellectual property, the provision of legal services and/or business; 
  • You work independently and efficiently; you possess very strong planning and coordinating skills; you have a creative and positive mindset.
