Choose a distinctive brand name

Choosing a distinctive name is a key part of building a strong brand. In fact, it is even a precondition for official registration. According to the law, a trademark must have ‘distinctive character’ in order to qualify for registration. For example, the trademark ‘Princess’ would not be deemed suitable for a magazine on the royal family, but it is suitable for a company selling household appliances.
